United we stand Divided we fall
In this difficult times, we should go beyond the boundaries of city, state, countries and only united as mankind for the good of humanity.
Definitely, Covid-19 has affected the world negatively in every possible way but still we can see some positive impacts out of this. Nature has its own way of self-restoration and creating balance. We were born to live in co-habitation with other species. Nature has its way to restore habitat and time to time, it has done so.
Levels of air pollutants and global warming gases over some cities and regions are showing significant drops as coronavirus impact. Researchers in New York told the BBC their early results showed carbon monoxide mainly from cars had been reduced by nearly 50% compared with last year.
Emissions of the planet-heating gas CO2 have also fallen sharply.
Meanwhile, a near shutdown of cruise- and cargo-ship traffic around some cities has resulted in fish returning to lagoon and canals for the first time in decades. Dolphins return to coast as water disturbance is minimal.
There are reports from where the coronavirus outbreak began, and from other parts of the world where lockdowns have been in place for more than few days estimating that greenhouse gas emissions over the past month are as much as a quarter below normal levels in such countries
The World need to show unified voice and stand to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
We would highlight the importance of the work we need to do together to overcome this difficult times. The world is coming together to combat the pandemic as one and it can be done. Unifying precautionary measures will unify our line of combat, and the same can be done for the climate crisis.
With the cases present in more than 100 countries and this has been declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization, we all should act as a responsible Global Citizens, and must fight for a One World One Planet with wish of good health for all.
